Workshop Documentaire

The workshop will take place during the 3th Latin American Film Festival of Flanders. Van maandag 25 tot en met zaterdag 26 november in Atlas.

Place: ATLAS, Carnotstraat 110 (near central station) 2060 Antwerp

Time: Monday 21, Tuesday 22, Thursday 24, Friday 25 from 17.30 till 22.00 and Saturday 26 from 12.00 till 20.00

Language: English – Español - Nederlands (basis)

Description

A theoretical and practical workshop about the creative possibilities of the documentary film genre. The workshop will deal with the "Interview-Portrait" subgenre with special emphasis on challenging conventional and mainstream approach. Participants will be encouraged to reflect upon and explore a more personal and creative style. As a practical exercise, they will make a 3' short film "Interview-Portrait" with a couple of formal obstructions:
• Main character's voice OFF screen
• Just ONE shot

The aim of the obstructions is to challenge and encourage participants into exploring creative solutions.
